Dr. Basler Adds New Role as Clinics’ Medical Director for Quality & Safety
Bonnie Basler, M.D., has been named as North Mississippi Medical Clinics’ Medical Director for Quality and Safety.
Dr. Basler will continue to see patients at West Tupelo Medical Clinic, where she has practiced since 2010. In addition to her practice, she has been instrumental in helping organize and provide active leadership to many important initiatives in recent years.
Dr. Basler graduated summa cum laude from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in medical record administration. She received her medical training from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson and completed her family medicine residency at East Tennessee State University in Bristol. Dr. Basler is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She is a Registered Health Information Administrator and has earned multiple Epic certifications including Physician Builder and Power User.
In her new role, Dr. Basler will provide overall leadership to our clinic system’s efforts around quality, safety, care efficiency and provider experience. “Dr. Basler’s passion for delivering the very best in care and service to our patients, their families and our team members is inspiring,” said David Barber, president of North Mississippi Medical Clinics. “I look forward to seeing her expanded influence in delivering on our mission and vision as a clinic network and health system.”
