“What I absolutely love most about my job is the people. I really believe that I am the patient experience and use every opportunity to put a smile on everyone’s face,” Thomas said. “I smile all the time and so should my patients. I love being a nurse!”

Thomas was cited by her coworkers for always being helpful and greeting everyone she meets with a smile. “Her positivity makes everyone’s day or night. Another wrote, “Raven approaches her patients and team members with kindness and compassion that is unmatched by most. Her positivity is one of her many strengths making her an asset to any team.”

Coworkers wrote that Thomas strives for excellence and embraces learning how to provide the best and safest care for her patients. “She is actively pursuing higher education while working and raising a family,” states her nomination,

Thomas has two children—Michael, 17, and Bryant, 16. She attends Greater Bethlehem Temple in Aberdeen. She enjoys being active in the community, her church and her children’s school activities.
