The next dates for Camp Bluebird are April 26-28, 2019.
Adult cancer patients and survivors are invited to participate in Camp Bluebird each April at the Fellowship Christian Retreat at Crows Neck in Tishomingo County. Camp Bluebird is open to any adult, age 18 or older, who has been diagnosed with cancer. It does not matter if the cancer is in remission or newly diagnosed. Camp Bluebird offers a unique experience for adult cancer patients. The three-day, two-night camp is medically supervised and is a time of rest, relaxation, listening and more.
Each camp is filled with fun and excitement. Whether campers are fishing,
making crafts, building birdhouses or just enjoying the scenery, the relaxed atmosphere will fit anyone’s expectations of camp.
The natural setting provides a nice backdrop for camp, which offers daily devotionals, an evening campfire and ongoing entertainment. Each camper is paired with a counselor, who is either a member of the North Mississippi Medical Center staff or a volunteer from AT&T Mississippi Pioneers.
The staff includes nurses, a social worker, physical and occupational therapists, a pastoral care associate and other volunteers. The staff will provide meals, with special appearances by the Tupelo Hog Roasters.
