“What are you waiting for?” asks Brianne Helms of Nettleton. “This is the best thing that I have ever done for myself! Being a mother of two high energy girls, I wanted to be here to watch them grow up.”
Brianne has lost 136 pounds and kept it off since August 2014 when she had weight loss surgery at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Without the extra pounds, she no longer struggles with back and joint pain nor acid reflux.
“Before weight loss surgery, I felt trapped,” Brianne says. “I hated to look at myself. I ran from cameras. I had no energy. I was miserable.” Now she takes the stairs instead of the elevator, parks in the farthest parking spaces instead of circling the lot and shops in any store she likes – and not in the Plus section.
“I feel fabulous! For the first time in my life, I am finally acting on all of the things I’ve always wanted to do,” Brianne says. “I’m actually working toward the goals I have always dreamed about but never thought I could do. Don’t let anything stop you from changing your life today.”
