NMMC Cancer Care Welcomes New Radiation Oncologist
TUPELO, Miss.—North Mississippi Medical Center Cancer Care welcomes Benjamin Hinton, M.D., radiation oncologist.
He graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Dr. Hinton received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital.
At NMMC Cancer Care, physicians, including surgeons, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists, work together to develop the course of treatment for each patient. Radiation oncologists use high-energy radiation to destroy cancer cells.
Dr. Hinton is joined in Tupelo by his wife, Lindsey Hinton, M.D., a new palliative care physician at NMMC, and his two young daughters.
