Teresa Hidalgo Named NMMC’s Employee of the Month
TUPELO, Miss. —Teresa Hidalgo, a medical technologist supervisor for the Pathology Department, was selected as North Mississippi Medical Center’s Employee of the Month for January.
Hidalgo has been with NMMC since 1996. She previously worked as a medical technologist at Women’s Hospital.
She is a graduate of Mantachie High School and attended Itawamba Community College in Fulton, the University of Mississippi in Oxford and NMMC’s School of Medical Technology.
“What I love most about my job is making a difference in the lives of others by producing quality lab results and assisting with the development of new employees on their journey to becoming exceptional members of our health care family,” Hidalgo said.
In her nomination, coworkers praised Hidalgo’s attitude and conscientious work ethic.
“Teresa’s attitude truly sets her apart from everyone,” a coworker wrote in her nomination. “She is always able to get the job done and obtain cooperation from her employees to ensure quality care. She treats everyone with the utmost respect. All enjoy working with Teresa, as she is filled with compassion and caring for others.”
“Teresa is an excellent supervisor and mentor for new hires and newly promoted supervisors,” another coworker wrote. “She has a wealth of knowledge that is invaluable on her shift, and her attention to detail is second to none. She works extremely well under pressure and almost always completes tasks ahead of schedule.”
Hidalgo is married to Jose Hidalgo and they reside in Mantachie. They have four children— Tessa Parker, Sabrina Holloway, Alexandra Hidalgo and Joseph Hidalgo, and one grandson.
