NMMC-Iuka Honors Prien as Outstanding Employee
IUKA, Miss.—Liz Prien, RN in the Emergency Department at North Mississippi Medical Center-Iuka, has been selected by her peers as NMMC-Iuka’s most recent Employee of the Quarter.
Prien joined the hospital staff in 1991.
She received her associate degree in nursing from Itawamba Community College in Fulton. She is also a paramedic.
In her nomination, Prien was praised for being kind and genuine, and for going above and beyond for her patients and coworkers.
“I love helping others in their time of need,” Prien said. “There are a lot of sick and hurting people and I believe God’s purpose for us is to help each other and be a witness for him. We can always make a difference in other people’s lives with compassion and love.”
Prien is married to Leonard Prien. She has one daughter, Valerie Davis, and one grandson, Bobby Davis. She attends Antioch Baptist Church in Golden.
The Employee of the Quarter honor recognizes employees with exemplary job performance and customer service skills, as well as community involvement.
