Crump Honored with BEE Award
TUPELO, Miss.—Immanuel Crump, certified nursing assistant with 3 South, recently received North Mississippi Medical Center’s BEE (Beyond Exceptional Expectations) Award for March.
He received a certificate, a BEE Award pin, a bouquet donated by Bishop’s Flower Shop and a cake.
Crump was nominated by a patient who felt he “went over his duties.” The patient suffered a panic attack, elevating her blood pressure and causing her to get sick during dialysis treatment. “I threw up so much that I had soiled my clothes,” she said. “Mr. Crump, in a calming manner, reassured me in a way that my panic attack changed. Him talking to me as a friend helped me. If not for his kind manner, I would not have gotten better.”
A Booneville resident, Crump graduated from Wheeler High School and joined the NMMC staff in June 2017. He attends Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Baldwyn, where he is a soloist. He will start nursing school in August.
The BEE Award is given to a deserving caregiver each month at NMMC. For more information, call (662) 377- 3431 or email BEEAwards@nmhs.net.
