Crystal Tharp Named NMMC’s Employee of the Month
TUPELO, Miss.—Crystal Tharp, registered nurse on 4 Central, was named North Mississippi Medical Center’s Employee of the Month for September.
Tharp joined NMMC in 2017. She is a graduate of Riverside High School in Avon. Tharp went on to earn an associate degree in nursing from Itawamba Community College.
“The best part of my job is getting to know our patients and their families,” Tharp said. “Most of them have an extended stay, so they become our family too.”
Coworkers said Tharp is a caring nurse who treats patients and coworkers well.
“Crystal is genuine in the care she provides for patients,” a coworker wrote in her nomination. “She strives to give them the best care and treatment they deserve.”
“She treats the patients and her coworkers just like we are an extended part of her family,” another coworker wrote. “She truly has a nurse’s heart and it shows when you see her interacting with the patients.”
Tharp lives in Tremont and is married to Terry Sartin. She has two daughters, 20-year-old Madeline and Makayla, 16.
