Dorothy Farr Named Employee of the Quarter at NMMC-Pontotoc
PONTOTOC, Miss.—Dorothy Farr, certified licensed practical nurse in the nursing home, has been named Employee of the Quarter for North Mississippi Medical Center-Pontotoc.
Farr has worked at NMMC-Pontotoc for 34 years. She is a graduate of South Pontotoc High School and attended Itawamba Community College.
“I love my residents,” Farr said when asked what she enjoyed most about her job. “My job is very demanding and stressful at times but it is very rewarding. I also enjoy my coworkers and families of the residents.”
“I feel blessed that she is one of the nurses taking care of my mother and aunt,” said a relative of two nursing home patients. “I know they are receiving great care.”
She and her husband, Dean E. Farr, have six children and nine grandchildren. They attend Beulah Grove United Methodist Church. In her spare time, Farr enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time with family.
