TUPELO, Miss.—Sheila Mosby of Environmental Services recently received North Mississippi Medical Center’s BEE (Beyond Exceptional Expectations) Award for February.

Mosby was nominated by Emergency Department staff for always going above and beyond to serve their patients. “Sheila is phenomenal and one of the most reliable and dependable employees at our facility,” a coworker wrote in her nomination. “She is always proactive and lends her assistance whenever she sees it is needed—which is usually always one step ahead of ever having to be asked. She recognizes when our patient volume increases suddenly in the ER and helps with pulling and cleaning stretchers to expedite turnaround times for rooms.”

“She has a smile every time I see her, though she works in one of the most demanding departments in the hospital,” another wrote. “She works very hard to ensure our patients have clean, sanitary rooms and yet still takes time to take care of our office area. We are so blessed to have her in our department.”

Mosby lives in Okolona and joined the NMMC Environmental Services staff in 2010.

She received a certificate, a BEE Award pin, a bouquet donated by Bishop’s Flower Shop and a cake. The BEE Award is given to a deserving caregiver each month at NMMC. Nomination forms are available throughout NMMC or at For more information, call (662) 377-3431 or email
