T’ai Chi Chih Workshops in March An Experience Through Movement
TUPELO, Miss.—The North Mississippi Medical Center Wellness Center will sponsor a Prajna and Heightened Awareness workshop March 27-29 and a T’ai Chi Chih workshop March 29-31.
“Tai Chi Chih is a moving meditation, a series of movements that circulates energy creating balance within ourselves, others and the whole universe,” says Ron Richardson, T’ai Chi Chih instructor.
The Prajna and Heightened Awareness workshop, which focuses on the present moment with regard to how one is feeling, thinking and doing, will run from 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, March 27; from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, March 28; and from 9 a.m.- noon Friday at Goodlett Manor, 219 N. Broadway. It will explore the connection between T’ai Chi Chih and life. Knowing T’ai Chi Chih is a requirement for this workshop.
The T’ai Chi Chih workshop, which focuses on slow, soft movements and balance, will run from 1-5 p.m. Friday, March 28; from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 30, and from 9 a.m.-noon Sunday at the NMMC Wellness Center, 1030 S. Madison St.
April Leffler, guest instructor from Pennsylvania, will lead both workshops. The fee is $80 per workshop or $150 for both. Lunch will be included on the full days.
