North Mississippi Medical Clinics Name VanLandingham Employee of the Year
TUPELO, Miss.—North Mississippi Medical Clinics recently named Margaret VanLandingham, corporate accountant, as the 2019 Employee of the Year.
VanLandingham joined North Mississippi Medical Clinics in June 1990, in its first month of operation. She is a graduate of Red Bay High School and attended Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1984 from the University of Mississippi in Oxford.
She and her husband, Benjy, have two children – David and Elizabeth. David and his wife, Morgan, have an almost-1-year-old son, Owen. Elizabeth and her husband, Christopher, have a 2-and a half-year-old son, Daniel.
She is a member of Wallerville Baptist Church in New Albany, and is actively involved in the Eight Days of Hope ministry. She says the best part of her job is working with great people and helping others be efficient, while finding ways to help our organization be financially successful. “I love to come to work because of the atmosphere and camaraderie here,” she says.
She plans to retire in March, and she and her husband will begin a six-month hiking trip on the Appalachian Trail.
VanLandingham was nominated for her passion and positive work ethic.
“Margaret manages to make each year better than the last,” said a coworker who nominated her. “She cheerfully coordinates a wide range of resources to guarantee success.”
Another coworker said, “I can’t say enough good things about Margaret. She has always treated me with kindness and respect. She is rarely seen without a smile on her face. Her loyalty and dedication have been unwavering, and she has been instrumental the success of our organization.”
