West Contest Winner of Art Contest Sponsored by NMMC Hospice

AMORY, Miss.—Laiyla West, second-grader at West Amory School, recently won an art contest sponsored by North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice. A contest was held among Amory School District art students to design the 2020 NMMC Hospice butterfly T-shirt. The shirts are sold as a fundraiser for the annual memorial service and butterfly release.
West received a framed copy of her artwork and was recognized at school Friday, Feb. 7. Four local schools participated in this contest. The second place winner was Jaycee Vaughn, 10th grader at Amory High School. Third place winner was Gloria Beasley, 10th grader at Amory High School.
NMMC Hospice bereavement coordinator Sandra Gordon presented the award.
