Iuka Natives to Join Iuka Medical Clinic, Hospital Staff

IUKA, Miss.—Iuka Medical Clinic and North Mississippi Medical Center-Iuka welcome two Iuka natives to the medical staff.

Dr. Kaycee BurchamKaycee R. Burcham, M.D., received her medical degree in 2018 from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, where she was a Mississippi Rural Physician’s Scholar and a Gold Humanism Honor Award recipient. Dr. Burcham completed her internal medicine residency in June at Magnolia Regional Health Center, where she served as ambulatory chief resident her third year. She is a 2010 graduate of Tishomingo County High School and a 2014 magna cum laude graduate of the University of North Alabama in Florence with a bachelor’s degree in biology.

She and her husband, Blake, have two daughters—Amelia, 3, and Nora, 2 months. She is the daughter of Terry and Renee Bullard of Iuka. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, reading and traveling.

“From the time I decided to be a physician, my dream has been to come back to my hometown and be a servant for my people,” Dr. Burcham said. “I am so excited to be joining Iuka Medical Clinic, where this dream is becoming a reality, and I look forward to a lifelong career of serving the people of Tishomingo County.”

Dr. Jessica JensonJessica Jensen, M.D., received her medical degree in 2018 from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. She completed an internal medicine residency in June at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She is a 2003 graduate of Tishomingo County High School and holds bachelor’s degrees in physics and biology from the University of Mississippi in Oxford.

She is married to Jae Jensen and has a stepson, MJ. Her parents are Brenda Nichols-Freeno of Glen and the late David Nichols of Iuka. She enjoys scuba diving, riding motorcycles, horseback riding, running and yoga.

“Iuka has always held a special place in my heart, and I am so blessed to be able to come back home to help care for my community.” Dr. Jensen said. “I am looking forward to joining the team at Iuka Medical Clinic and serving the amazing people of Iuka and all of Tishomingo County.”

Drs. Burcham and Jensen join Drs. Cameron Bonds, Donald Robertson and Jennifer Thompson-Davis, and nurse practitioners Jamie Frick, Erin Green, Vickey Hall and Brittany Sims. Iuka Medical Clinic is located at 1771 Curtis Drive and open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.
