Health Care Foundation of North Mississippi Awards Health Care Scholarship to Tupelo Student
TUPELO, Miss.— Health Care Foundation of North Mississippi recently presented a Health Care Scholarship to Lilly Odom, a senior at Tupelo High School.
The scholarship is administered by HCF for high school seniors in Lee County who are pursuing a career in health care.
Odom plans to study biology at Mississippi State University in Starkville and has a special interest in research. At Tupelo High School, she succeeded in all her coursework and will graduate with honors. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, gaming and gardening. Odom attends Brewer United Methodist Church in Shannon with her family. She is the daughter of Brandon and Jennifer Odom.
“Jennifer, Lilly’s mother, is a dedicated 21-year employee who makes a difference every day at work and in the community,” wrote Michelle McMillen, administrator at NMMC Surgical Services, in her nomination letter. “I know the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Lilly is going to do great things and I am thankful HCF chose to support her endeavors.”
“I’m overwhelmed with a lot of emotions,” said Odom. “I’m so thankful for this scholarship and this opportunity.”
