Lauren Nicole Kois, MD

A native of Marion County, Dr. Kois is a board-certified family physician who brings a strong commitment to compassionate care for individuals and families across all ages.

“I chose a career in health care so that I could serve others at some of their most vulnerable moments,” Dr. Kois said. “I believe each and every person deserves access to quality health care and wanted to work toward that goal.”

Dr. Kois graduated from the University of North Alabama and earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Medicine. She completed her residency at UAB Huntsville Family Medicine Residency Program, gaining experience in preventative medicine, women’s health, pediatrics and chronic disease management.

“I chose family medicine because I enjoy so many different aspects of medicine,” she said. “I am looking forward to working with the team in Hamilton to continue providing quality health care across all ages and stages of life for the people here in Marion County. My goal has always been to come home and serve our community, and I am excited for this new opportunity.”
