When people ask me why I chose dermatology, my answer is often something along the lines of, “Well, I just liked it more than everything else.” Admittedly, it’s a rather pithy answer that doesn’t really convey any information that isn’t obvious. But at the same time, it’s the most truthful and comprehensive answer to that question.

I am thrilled to be joining the North Mississippi Medical Clinic system as a dermatologist. For me, dermatology offers the best of everything I enjoyed in my medical education. It is simultaneously general and yet specialized (we treat everything skin related but are the only ones who specialize in it), broad and yet focused (performing everything from preventative screenings to curative surgeries) and, most importantly, can dramatically improve the quality of life for patients.

I am very thankful for the broad training I’ve received in all aspects of dermatology including the treatment of skin cancers, eczema, psoriasis, acne, hair loss, autoimmune disease and more and am excited to be starting here in Tupelo.
