About Me
Amanda Smith, MSN, FNP-C, is a 2009 graduate of Shannon High School. She earned her associate degree in nursing from Itawamba Community College in 2018 and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain University in 2020. She completed her master’s degree in nursing and nurse practitioner training at Chamberlain University in 2024.
“I have always felt a calling to help care for others,” Amanda said. “My personal experience as a patient, as well as a family member, has played a huge factor in my decision. I will always remember the providers who helped me through the scariest moments just by showing they care, and my goal is to pay that kindness forward to each of my patients.”
Amanda has worked in several different specialties throughout North Mississippi Health Services and treasures the connections she has made with her coworkers and patients in each one.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys reading, cooking, traveling and spending time with her pets and family.

Connected Care Partners is a group of health care providers working for and with North Mississippi Health Services to improve patient care.
