North Mississippi Health Services contracts with Pafford Emergency Medical Services, a leader in pre- and post-hospital health care, to provide ground ambulance and medical helicopter services across the region.
Pafford EMS operates Pafford Air One Tango—formerly CareFlight—from Tupelo Regional Airport, offering rapid-response aeromedical transport for trauma, cardiac and critical care patients. In addition, Pafford provides emergency, critical care and neonatal intensive care ground transport services in partnership with NMHS hospitals in Tupelo, Eupora, Iuka, Pontotoc and West Point.
Beyond emergency response, Pafford also offers non-emergency and interfacility transport services to move patients between NMHS facilities or from facility to home. These transports are seen as an extension of the care patients receive at medical centers, with a focus on safety, professionalism and patient comfort.
Pafford EMS services include:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) with paramedic-staffed units
- Critical Care and Specialty Care Transports for ICU/CCU-level patients
- Long-distance and cross-regional transfers
Pafford EMS is committed to timely, professional, and high-quality transport, serving as an extension of the NMHS care team and ensuring continuity of care from bedside to bedside.
