North Mississippi Health Services is pleased to welcome Dr. Samuel J. Holdiness to its medical team. Dr. Holdiness will provide care for patients at the clinics in New Albany, Pontotoc and Oxford.

TUPELO, Miss. – North Mississippi Health Services is pleased to welcome Dr. Samuel J. Holdiness to its medical team. Dr. Holdiness will provide care for patients at the clinics in New Albany, Pontotoc and Oxford.
A native of Kosciusko, Dr. Holdiness graduated from Kosciusko High School in 2003 and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi in 2006. He completed medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson and went on to finish his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Greenville Health System in Greenville, South Carolina.
Dr. Holdiness chose a career in health care to help people improve their health and quality of life, as well as uplift them during difficult times. “I wanted to make a positive impact when people are at a low point in life,” he said.
He looks forward to meeting new patients and growing together with those he interacts with through his work at NMHS.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Holdiness to our team,” said David Barber, president of North Mississippi Medical Clinics. “His experience and dedication to caring for families will make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.”
Dr. Holdiness and his wife, Amber, have four children: Morgan, Matthew, Luke and Lily. In his spare time, he enjoys playing with his children, swimming and scuba diving.
