North Mississippi Health Services is proud to welcome Kane Andrew McCool, FNP-C, to the care team at the North Mississippi Urology in Starkville.
STARKVILLE, Miss. – North Mississippi Health Services is proud to welcome Kane Andrew McCool, FNP-C, to the care team at the North Mississippi Urology in Starkville.
McCool earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Mississippi School of Nursing in 2014. He returned to the University of Mississippi School of Nursing to complete his master’s degree in nursing in 2020 and holds certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
“We’re excited to have Kane join our team in Starkville,” said David Barber, president of North Mississippi Medical Clinics. “His dedication to quality care and his eagerness to grow in his specialty make him a strong addition to our clinic and community.”
From a young age, McCool had a fascination with how the human body works and knew he wanted to help others live life to the fullest. That early curiosity grew into a calling and eventually led him to pursue a career as a family nurse practitioner.
“I’m elated to enhance my knowledge in the specialty of urology among some of the best colleagues in the business,” he said. “I look forward to helping patients improve their quality of life, manage chronic conditions and stay informed about their treatment options.”
McCool is especially excited about the opportunity to serve the Starkville community where he has lived, worked and built lasting relationships over the years. He values the strong work-life balance this career provides, giving him more time with his family while doing what he loves.
When he’s not seeing patients, McCool enjoys mentoring his two sons, Korbin, 8, and Kade, 4, in baseball, cheering on Mississippi State sports and helping his wife, Tori, with her many DIY projects. The couple has been together for 20 years and married for 10. As a family, they love to travel, with the Smoky Mountains topping his list of favorite getaways. In their spare time, he and Tori also run a pottery business and participate in local festivals.
McCool is now accepting new patients at North Mississippi Urology in Starkville. To schedule an appointment, call (662) 498-1400 or 1-800-THE DESK (1-800-843-3375).
