A special day camp for adults who have been diagnosed with cancer. Campers are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities ranging from arts and crafts to educational programs. Volunteers, including nurses and counselors, participate with the campers during all activities.
Camp Bluebird is held at Tombigbee State Park in Tupelo each fall. For 2026, Camp Bluebird will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 26.
There is no charge for the camp. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided. Campers should bring bug spray, sunscreen and a lawn chair. New campers will receive a Camp Bluebird T-shirt. Any materials needed for special programs or activities will be provided to all campers.
Camp Bluebird is open to cancer survivors 18 and older. Registration is required. Participants can register online or by calling oncology social worker Jamie Grissom, LMSW, OSW-C, (662) 377-4631.
