About Me
Dr. Abel says he chose health care because he wanted an opportunity to help folks in a high-impact and challenging field. He received his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Mississippi State University in Starkville, and his medical training from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson. He completed his family medicine residency at the North Mississippi Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Center, where he served as chief resident.
His hobbies include exercise, yard work and playing softball and tennis.
