- University of Osteopathic Medical & Health Science, Doctor of Osteopathy
Julie Palmer, DO, works on the family medicine side of the clinic. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from William Carey College in Hattiesburg and completed her medical training at Des Moines University Osteopathic School of Medicine in Iowa. She completed her family medicine residency at the North Mississippi Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Center in Tupelo.
She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Palmer says she chose health care because she was exposed to several people with preventable conditions and cancers caught in early stages, and she realized the importance of education, support and screenings. She chose North Mississippi Medical Clinics because she wanted to be part of a health care system that was organized and committed to providing quality health care.
In her free time, Dr. Palmer loves taking photos of flowers. “Flowers and people are similar in that each is unique, yet beautifully crafted,” she says.
Dr. Palmer is a member of the American Medical Association, Mississippi Medical Association and Mississippi Osteopathic Medical Association.
