Dr. Smith joined North Mississippi Medical Clinics in 1993. He says he chose health care because he wanted to “become a country doc.”
His hobbies include outdoor activities, boating and hunting.

Dr. Smith received his medical training at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, W.Va., and completed his residency at Sun Coast Hospital in Largo, Fla. Dr. Smith is a board-certified family physician. Dr. Smith received recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)/American Diabetes Association (ADA) Diabetes Physician Recognition Program.
