North Mississippi Health Services-South Marion

North Mississippi Health Services-South Marion, formerly known as Northwest Regional Health, is a community hospital based in Winfield, Alabama. The hospital includes a 4-bed intensive care unit, a 10-bed geriatric psychiatric unit and on-site rehabilitation, dialysis and assisted living facilities.

Visiting Hours & Policies 

Our standard visiting hours are from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. We aim to be as flexible in our options as possible to accommodate the busy schedules and lives of our visitors and their families.

Intensive Care Unit 

ICU visiting hours are:

  • 10-10:15 a.m.
  • noon-12:15 p.m.
  • 2-2:15 p.m.
  • 6-6:15 p.m.
  • 8-8:15 p.m.

Only family members are allowed to visit, with up to two visitors at a time. Visitors must be 14 years or older. Essential caregivers will be allowed visitation for two hours beyond visiting hours. No smoking, flowers or personal belongings are allowed in the ICU.

Medical Records Requests

If you require access to your medical records or someone else's medical records with their approval, the first step is completing a medical release of information authorization form. 

Once filled out, you can deliver or send your form to the Health Information Management Department at NMHS-South Marion.

You must present a form of valid photo ID to verify your identification and a telephone number upon collection of records. A charge may be applied for each copy provided, under Alabama statute. Most medical records requests will be processed and completed in about 3 business days.
