The NMMC Wellness Center in Tupelo offers the following exercise classes:
Advanced Circuit Training (ACT)
A class that alternates cardiovascular with segments of training (meets on the fitness floor).
Physical training designed to help reach fitness and weight goals through interval exercises.
A class designed for participants with limited range of motion. This class will use resistance balls, weights, bands and the chair (if needed for balance) for strength training, cardio, balance and flexibility.
A class designed for individuals with any physical limitations. This class uses chairs for all the exercises.
CV Lite Circuit
A class using the cardiovascular equipment on the fitness floor.
This low impact, high intensity class meets on the fitness floor. A strength training class that incorporates cardio segments. A definite calorie burn class.
Core & More
Strengthen your abs and lower back while toning and tightening your entire core. This class also includes cardio that will help tackle your core while simultaneously working to burn fat.
Super fun and hard core class. If you want to work hard, sweat and see results with cardio and strength training, then this is the class for you!
Gentle Restorative Yoga
A gentle class for those wishing to slow down their pace. Focus is on breathing, balance, stretching and releasing tension. Restorative yoga brings harmony to the body's rhythms. Props are used to place the body in comfortable relaxing poses. This enables the mind to clear, the breath to deepen and the body to easily relax.
Gentle Strength & Conditioning Chair Exercise
A class using hand weights and resistant bands while using a chair for support. A great class for individuals with physical limitations.
A water class that includes cardio conditioning and strength conditioning.

Hip Hop Fitness
A class that uses hip hop music to get moving while you tone at the same time! Bring your SWEAT ON!
HIIT & Core
This high-intensity interval training is a training technique in which you give all-out, 100% effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods.
Lite Circuit /Girls Circuit
A class using the strength machines and walking track on the fitness floor.
This class will work on total body shaping utilizing bands, weights and benches.
Pilates is focused on improving flexibility, strength and body awareness. Two key elements of Pilates are core muscle strength and spinal alignment. This class concentrates deeply on core muscles, as well as on the breath, the contraction of muscles and quality of movements.
This is a full-body, strength-training format, featuring four unique blocks of work: Cardio X, Lower Strength, Upper Strength and X Core.
A class designed to build balance, strength and flexibility using upbeat music with choreography that is fun, challenging and will make you sweat.
An indoor cycling class that is sure to make you sweat! Meets in the aerobic room next to racquetball court.

Spin, strength and core all in one class!
An energized class featuring basic step with intervals of upper body strength power sections.
It consists of eight rounds of ultra-high-intensity exercises in a specific 20-seconds-on, 10-seconds-off interval.
T'ai Chi Chih
A series of 19 movements that improve balance, physical fitness, flexibility and stamina.
A fat-blasting, ab-defining cardio workout using kickbox moves with simple dance grooves.
An all levels class suitable for anyone able to sit on the floor and/or on hands and knees. Yoga creates balance, flexibility and strength.
Yoga Mix/Yoga Flow
A yoga-based class that is a motivating blend of yoga, T'ai Chi Chih and Pilates. Classified as low intensity but challenging. Work on strength and flexibility while burning calories.
A fusion of Latin and International music/dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness workout! The routines feature simple, easy to follow, repetitive dance steps, aerobic/fitness interval training that tone and sculpt the body. This class is designed for all fitness levels... even those with two left feet!
