STARKVILLE, Miss. – Dr. Anna Sit, has joined North Mississippi Health Services at Family Clinic of Starkville, where she provides comprehensive care for patients and families.
Dr. Sit earned her bachelor’s degree from Millsaps College and her master’s degree from Mississippi College. She earned her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson and completed her residency at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
“My goal is simple: to help patients understand their medical conditions, treatment plans and how to navigate the health care system,” Dr. Sit said. “I’m always honored when patients choose me, for however long, to walk alongside them in life and celebrate, mourn and really just do life with them.”
David Barber, president of North Mississippi Medical Clinics, said Dr. Sit’s patient-centered approach will be an asset to Family Clinic of Starkville and the community.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Sit to Family Clinic of Starkville,” Barber said. “Her commitment to helping patients understand their health and building meaningful, lasting relationships with the people she serves reflects the kind of care we strive to provide across North Mississippi Medical Clinics. We are pleased to have her joining our team and becoming part of the Starkville community.”
Dr. Sit is married to Connor Dunne. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, dancing, crafting, bargain hunting and working puzzles.
“I’m excited to be in Starkville and to really entrench myself in the community,” Dr. Sit said. “While I’m not from the area, my hometown of West Monroe, Louisiana, feels very similar. My husband and his family are from Starkville, so I feel really privileged to give back to the community that raised him.”
