WEST POINT, Miss. — Dr. Ethan Tillotson has joined West Point Primary care as a family medicine physician.

Dr. Tillotson is a native of Mooreville. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi and his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his family medicine residency at North Mississippi Medical Center’s Family Medicine Residency Center in Tupelo.

Dr. Tillotson chose family medicine because of the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients while making a positive impact on the health of the communities he serves.

“I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to truly have an impact on the lives of people in my community,” Dr. Tillotson said. “I enjoy the challenge and complexity of managing each individual patient’s health and building relationships with them along the way. This continuity allows me to care for the whole person, not just a single condition, and support patients through all stages of life.”

David Barber, president of North Mississippi Medical Clinics, said Dr. Tillotson’s training within the North Mississippi Health Services system makes his transition to West Point Primary Care especially meaningful.

“We are proud to welcome Dr. Tillotson to West Point Primary Care after completing his residency training right here at North Mississippi Medical Center,” Barber said. “He already understands our commitment to putting patients first, and we are excited for him to bring that experience and dedication to the West Point community.”

Outside of work, Dr. Tillotson enjoys spending time with his wife, Heather, their 2-year-old son, Colin, and their dog, Gatsby. He also enjoys running, reading, outdoor activities and attending Ole Miss sporting events.
