Jacqueline Akers Fraiser, FNP, APRN

Jacqueline Fraiser, DNP, FNP-BC, earned her associate degree in nursing from Northeast Mississippi Community College and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She completed her master’s degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama in Florence and her doctorate in nursing practice from Samford University.

Jacqueline is certified by the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) and holds Parish Nurse Certification. She has also completed the Certificate Program for Fracture Liaison Service (FLS).

From an early age, Jacqueline was inspired to help others and make a difference in their lives. “Nursing is a career that is built on empathy, patient advocacy and connecting with patients,” she said. “As a nurse, I have had the privilege of being on the front lines of patient care. I have listened to patients during their most vulnerable moments. I consider it an honor to offer comfort using my clinical skills and knowledge to promote care and improve outcomes.”

As a nurse practitioner, Jacqueline combines the compassionate approach of nursing with the problem-solving skills of a provider. “I have been able to advocate for patients on a broader scale, promote preventative health and contribute to improving access to care,” she said. This career fulfills her desire for lifelong learning and professional growth, while also aligning with her goal to make a lasting, positive impact on the health and well-being of others.

In her spare time, Jacqueline enjoys reading, cooking for her family, being involved in her community and traveling. She loves exploring new places and has visited all but four of the 50 states, with a particular fondness for visiting national parks.

Above all, Jacqueline cherishes spending time with her granddaughter and greatest joy, Kove. She and her husband, Tim, have two sons, Tyler and Jacob, and a daughter-in-law, Kameron.
