About Me
Dr. Shields joined North Mississippi Medical Clinics in 1999 after many years in private practice.
He says he chose health care because “delivering babies is about the most exciting thing there is.”
Dr. Shields completed his medical studies at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, La. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
His hobbies include woodworking, singing, playing keyboards and woodwinds, and arranging and composing music.
