About Me
Dr. Speights is a lifelong native of Mississippi, growing up in Hattiesburg before attending college at the University of Mississippi and medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He remained at UMMC for internal medicine residency, finishing in 2017.
Since completing training, he has been a hospitalist for NMMC. His additional service to the health system has included physician advisory for case management and health information management, Epic physician building, and on the Medical Executive Committee as Chair of Medicine. He has been recognized for leadership and commitment to quality and safety.
He currently lives in Tupelo with his wife Amarette, founder of Speights Law Firm, and their son and daughter. When not at the hospital or his children's events, you may find him trying to improve his golf swing or painting lead soldiers for historical tabletop wargaming. He attends First Baptist Church of Tupelo with his family.
