AMORY, Miss.— North Mississippi Wound Center-Amory has earned two national awards recognizing its outstanding healing rates, patient satisfaction and commitment to helping patients recover from chronic wounds.

The center received the Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award by Healogics®, the nation's largest provider of advanced wound care services. The award recognizes centers that scored in the top 10% of eligible Healogics Wound Care Centers for clinical excellence, based on comprehensive healing rates weighted by wound mix.

The Amory center also received the Center of Distinction award for achieving outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction above 92%.

“Our clinicians, nurses and support staff are deeply committed to changing lives by healing wounds,” said Dr. Dwight McComb, medical director of North Mississippi Wound Centers. “These awards reflect the meaningful impact they make for patients every day.”

The center provides specialized care for patients with diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic or hard-to-heal wounds. Treatment options include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings, growth factor therapies and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which uses 100% oxygen to help accelerate healing.

“This accomplishment reflects the dedication, talent and compassion of an exceptional team,” said Janet Lancaster, director of North Mississippi Wound Centers. “Their commitment to patients is evident every day, and I’m incredibly proud to work alongside them.”
