TUPELO, Miss. — The Wound Center and Hyperbarics teams at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo and Amory have been honored with two national awards from Healogics®, the nation’s largest provider of wound care services.
Both centers received the Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award, placing them in the top 10% of eligible centers nationwide for healing outcomes.
This award is named for Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care and the former Chief Medical Officer for Healogics.
In addition, the centers earned the Center of Distinction Award for maintaining excellent results over 12 consecutive months—including a patient satisfaction rate above 92%. This honor reflects the dedication and compassionate care provided by the teams in Tupelo and Amory.
NMMC’s wound centers are part of Healogics’ network of more than 600 Wound Care Centers® and specialize in treating diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds.
Advanced treatments include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies.
Both facilities also offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which works by surrounding the patient with 100% percent oxygen to help accelerate wound healing.
