Dr. John Cantrell has joined the team at North Mississippi Urgent Care-Fulton. 

A board-certified physician, Dr. Cantrell earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Mississippi. He earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he also completed his residency.

“My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 16,” said Dr. Cantrell. “I wanted to be as helpful to others as her caregivers were to us.” 

“We are thrilled to have Dr. Cantrell join our health care family,” said David Barber, president, North Mississippi Medical Clinics. “His passion for medicine and caring for others is what makes him an excellent fit for our team in Fulton.”

Dr. Cantrell enjoys hunting, fishing and watching the Ole Miss Rebels. 

North Mississippi Urgent Care provides urgent care services for ages 6 months and up, welcoming new patients and walk-ins with same-day access. Dr. Cantrell joins urgent care physician Dr. Stephen Hathcock.
