Thor Goodfellow, MD

Dr. Goodfellow will see patients in Tupelo and Oxford. A 2011 graduate of St. Patrick Catholic High School in Biloxi, he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2015 from the University of Mississippi.
While at Ole Miss, he participated in the Honors College and student government and received the Taylor Medal, the university’s highest academic honor.
He completed his medical degree in 2019 at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson. After completing an internal medicine residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2022, he served for one year as chief resident. He recently completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship at UMMC, where he served as chief fellow.
Dr. Goodfellow is board certified in both internal medicine and echocardiography.
Dr. Goodfellow was inspired to pursue a career in medicine because he saw the positive impact physicians could have on their patients’ lives. That became especially clear as he watched the relationship between his father, an OB-GYN, and his patients, many of whom traveled long distances to continue seeing him after Hurricane Katrina displaced his practice.
“Cardiology is an ever-changing field with constant innovations in both medical and procedural therapies,” Dr. Goodfellow said. “However, we can make a great impact in our patients’ lives with the simple act of getting to know our patients and what is important to them.”
In his spare time, Dr. Goodfellow enjoys spending time with his wife, Kathy Lee, and daughters. “When not watching a dance party or fashion show, I enjoy cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels or reading a good book,” he added.
Christian Young, MD

Dr. Young will see patients in Tupelo and Columbus. A 2012 graduate of Northwest Rankin High School in Brandon, Dr. Young graduated summa cum laude in 2016 with his bachelor’s degree in biological engineering from Mississippi State University, where he was in the Honors College.
Dr. Young earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson in 2020. After completing an internal medicine residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2023, he recently completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship there. He is board certified in both echocardiography and internal medicine
Dr. Young worked at a cardiology clinic in high school and enjoyed getting to know the patients and developing relationships with them. “I was drawn to cardiology because of the wide range of conditions it encompasses, as well as the great need for cardiac care in Mississippi.”
Outside of work, Dr. Young enjoys reading, fishing, golfing, cooking and cheering for the MSU Bulldogs. He enjoys spending time with his wife and sons.
