BELMONT, Miss. — Belmont native Kristie Whitehead, FNP-C, has joined the team at Belmont Family Medical Clinic, where she provides comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages.

"I am thankful and blessed to be a part of this amazing team at Belmont Family Medical Clinic," Whitehead said. "It is an honor to be able to work in my hometown. I love this community, our patients and my co-workers."

Whitehead earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mississippi University for Women in 2018 and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama in 2020. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner.

David Barber, president of North Mississippi Medical Clinics, said the organization is excited to welcome Whitehead to Belmont Family Medical Clinic. “As a Belmont native, she understands the people and needs of this community,” Barber said. “Her compassion, clinical experience and commitment to exceptional care will be a tremendous asset to our patients and team.”

Outside of work, Whitehead enjoys spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She also enjoys being outdoors and traveling when she has the opportunity.
