About Me
Dr. Frank Osei is a pediatric cardiologist with Children’s of Mississippi, the pediatric arm of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, which includes the state’s only children’s hospital in Jackson and a network of clinics throughout the state, including one in Tupelo.
After receiving his medical degree at the School of Medical Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana, Dr. Osei interned in the Departments of Child Health and Surgery at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.
Afterward, with his interest in pediatrics, Dr. Osei continued to take care of children and was a medical officer in the Department of Child Health at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi. He was also involved in clinical research.
Dr. Osei completed his pediatric residency at the Medical University of South Carolina Children’s Hospital in Charleston, S.C. He completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in Bronx, N.Y., and a fellowship in advanced pediatric non-invasive cardiac imaging at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Osei is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Society of Echocardiography, American Academy of Pediatrics and Academic Pediatric Association.
