AMORY, Miss-North Mississippi Health Services is pleased to welcome Morgan Coggin Allen, FNP-BC, to Amory Specialty Clinic as a family nurse practitioner.

A Nettleton native, Allen graduated from Nettleton High School in 2009. She earned an associate degree from Itawamba Community College in 2013, an associate degree in nursing from Mississippi University for Women in 2019, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2020. Allen completed her master’s degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama in 2023.

Allen says her calling to health care began at an early age.

“I’ve always felt called to care for others, especially those who are often misunderstood or overlooked,” Allen said. “From a young age, I was drawn to the idea of being the person who listens when others don’t, who digs deeper when symptoms don’t add up, and who stands beside people through the hard and uncertain moments. Becoming a nurse practitioner allowed me to turn that calling into a profession where I can make a real difference every day. At the core of everything I do is a simple belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard and supported on their path to healing.”

Allen is excited to join NMHS and looks forward to caring for patients in gastroenterology.

“I’m looking forward to being part of a team that shares my passion for patient-centered care and contributing to a system that truly values community, collaboration and making a lasting impact close to home,” she said.

David Barber, president of North Mississippi Medical Clinics, said, “Morgan’s commitment to patient-centered care and her passion for helping others make her a great addition to our team. We are confident she will have a positive impact on our patients and community.”

When Allen isn’t caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her children. Her son Kruze, 10, loves technology, football, hunting and fishing. Her daughter Kora Beth, 8, is full of creativity, sparkle and big softball dreams.
