EUPORA, Miss.—On Sept. 23, North Mississippi Health Services is opening North Mississippi Wound Center-Eupora, expanding access to specialized care for people with wounds that are slow or difficult to heal.

Proper wound care is especially important for people with diabetes, poor circulation or other conditions that can make healing more difficult. Anyone whose wound has not started to heal within two weeks or has not completely healed within six weeks may benefit from specialized wound care.

Lee began her nursing career as a certified nursing assistant, inspired by her mother, who was a nurse. “I quickly discovered my passion for caring for others,” she said. 

She became a registered nurse in 2016 after earning an associate degree in nursing from Holmes Community College in Grenada. “This role allowed me to deepen my clinical knowledge and strengthen my commitment to patient care,” she said. “After seven years as an RN, I realized I wanted to further expand my ability to make a meaningful impact in the lives of my patients. This led me to pursue my master’s degree in nursing and become a family nurse practitioner.”

She completed her education and training in May 2025 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. 

Outside of work, Lee enjoys traveling, watching Alabama baseball and football, boating and spending time on the water with her family

Lee and her partner have five children—four sons and one daughter—and will welcome their first grandchild in October.
