	North Mississippi Health Services Cancer Care offers a support group for cancer patients and their families. These groups allow cancer patients the opportunity to share common experiences, problems and solutions. They also provide an avenue for patients to talk confidentially with others who are coping with and surviving cancer.

The Cancer Journey-Tupelo

North Mississippi Health Services Cancer Care offers a support group for cancer patients and their families. These groups allow cancer patients the opportunity to share common experiences, problems and solutions. They also provide an avenue for patients to talk confidentially with others who are coping with and surviving cancer.

	The group, which is led by oncology social worker Olevia Billips, PhD, LMSW, meets from 12:30-2 p.m. on the third Wednesdy of the month in January, March, May, July, September and November in the waiting room at NMMC Radiation Oncology, 1205 Hwy. 182, Starkville.&nbsp;

	There is no cost to participate, and caregivers are welcome to attend. You may register if you would like an email reminder for the support group. Registration is not required.

The Cancer Journey-Starkville

A special&nbsp; day camp for adults who have been diagnosed with cancer.&nbsp;Campers are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities ranging from arts and crafts to educational programs. Volunteers, including nurses and counselors, participate with the campers during all activities.

	Camp Bluebird is held at Tombigbee State Park in Tupelo each fall. For 2026, Camp Bluebird will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 26.

	There is no charge for the camp. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided. Campers should bring bug spray, sunscreen and a lawn chair. New campers will receive a Camp Bluebird T-shirt. Any materials needed for special programs or activities will be provided to all campers.

	Camp Bluebird is open to cancer survivors 18 and older. Registration is required.
