Patient Care
Family medicine residents have access to direct involvement in a wide variety of challenging cases as well as a high volume of common conditions. First-year residents inherit a panel of patients from the graduating class to follow for the three years of residency through patient visits, hospital admissions, home visits and extended care facility visits.
Faculty & Staff
FMRC staff members understand the special requirements of residency training and are committed to supporting resident training and to providing excellent patient care. Ancillary staff includes a PharmD and a licensed clinical social worker who work with faculty members to introduce residents to the concepts of comprehensive care.
The NMMC medical staff provides regular didactic lectures and supervises required rotations as well as personalized elective experiences. Our physicians welcome family medicine residents as colleagues and are always prepared to consult and teach.
